Turbo
After the loss of his first MR2, a very kind fan of the channel got in contact and offered Lawrie her old Turbo MR2, needing a good home, new brakes, paint and a windscreen. Lawrie understandably took the car on, and has been steadily working on it ever since.

History
Built in 1992 in Japan, this is the real deal, a factory fitted turbo charged MR2. She is a Rev 2 MR2 but is fitted with the rear lights from a Rev 3 - conversely, Lawrie's Rev 3 is fitted with Rev two rear lights. She was imported into the UK and hit the roads in the November of 1998, and still features some of her Japanese stickers and warning labels.
The rest of the car's history is unknown, but at some point it's owner fell in love with a Lotus Evora, and it found itself being relegated to a garage. A friend crashed an additional MR2 and stored the parts of two additional cars inside the garage alongside the MR2.
At some point restoration was started, removing rust in the roof, a pillars and sills. To this end, the windscreen was removed, and then lost.
When Lawrie acquired the car the initial inspection revealed progress really hung on the paintwork being finished. Resprays being expensive, the MR2 languished for many years before funds were raised and the car was sent off for paint. Almost immediately after returning the car suffered catastrophic clutch failure and was shipped off to a garage for repairs. It has not been seen since.
